Online Vs. In-Store
Online Food Bank Breakdown
Our online system, similar to our in-person shopping model, is based on a point system.
To use the online service, you will need to have a client ID and be registered on our Shopify.
Your first voucher will be sent via email and is available upon request. Gift vouchers are sent out each week and are based on your household needs. If you do not receive a gift voucher and or want to request your first one, please email info@feedscarborough.ca.
Each week, clients are able to use either our online food bank or book an appointment for in-person shopping.
Please note, if you place an order online, you will not be able to book an appointment for that same week. This is to ensure all within our community have access to our services.
If you do not require the online service that week and therefore do not use the gift voucher, you may use it at a later date. If you do not use the service over an extended period of time, we do not send new vouchers unless requested.
When placing your order, DO NOT ENTER IN YOUR PERSONAL CREDIT CARD INFORMATION.
In-Person Model
Our locations are based on a grocery store model where clients will first book an appointment then go on the day of and pick items they wish to take home.
When you arrive on site, you will check-in with our registration team and be given a points card. At registration, you can also book your next appointment. You will then be able to walk around and select the items you would like.
Once you select your items, you will then go to our checkout team and use the points card provided to you at registration. Please ensure that all your items are of equal or lesser value to the points on your card.
Please note:
As covid-19 numbers increase, we will be closing our in-person shopping model and providing pre-made hampers to clients. For updates, please visit our website and socials.
Items With No Point Value
When browsing our in-person and online store , you will notice that some items have no value. This includes dairy, meats, eggs, and produce. These items may be added to your cart but are limited to 1 per household.
Produce, meats, and dairy may vary based on what donations we receive. Because we rely on community donations, we can't guarantee certain products each week, but will do our best to ensure the most nutritious products are served.
